Ich habe jetzt auf Ubuntu 8.04 "umgebaut" und schraub mir mein System langsam wieder zusammen

This is a great project, very good.
When do you think that you can convert the splines into a series of arc's?
That would be really great, especially for milling model-plane wings made with acad splines.
I am the developer of USBCNC, which is a derative of EMC on windows and with USB controller for the real-time part. I only ask money for my produkt to be able to pay my hobby and be able to continue development.
I am a plane model builder myself and like to do milling for that, that is how the USBCNC hobby has started.
When you succeed with the NURBS to biarc conversion and build it into your dxf2gcode, I offer you a free USBCNC 4 CPU.
What do you think about that?

Hi Den,
It should not be a Problem to implement something like a Inch switch. The most important question would be what it should do? As you can see the programm has an button to scale the contour, here you can do some scaling if needed. Or is the only thing to change the descriptions from mm to inch?

Vielen Dank Herr Kohlöffel für die Arbeit. Habe noch keine Fräse, keine Ahnung, aber den Willen mir so ein Ding zu bauen. Die Software sollte natürlich so "einfach" als möglich sein. Als Baustein auf der Softwarekette ist mir Ihr Programm sehr recht. Aber- einige Wünsche hätte ich noch.
1. Wie wäre es wenn man in dem Info des aktivierten Vektors die Frästiefe, die vom Standard abweicht, eingeben könnte?
2. Die Möglichkeit eine (oder alle) Vektoren in einstellbarer Schrittweite, also stufenweise, tiefer zu Fräsen? Für so manche "schwächliche" Fräse bestimmt interessant.
Diese beiden Punkte zu realisieren wäre toll. -- Danke und viel Spaß beim Programmieren.

Komm im Mom leider nicht an meine Fräse zum probieren...
Fest steht auf jedenfall,wir Linuxer kriegen damit endlich auch mal ein professionelles CNC Tool in die Finger
